Jax Innovation Award 2009

The JAX Innovation Award has become one of the most important institutions in the software industry over the last three years.

The Award focuses on the European market giving visibility to the numerous technical, scientific and  entrepreneural initiatives within the continent.

The innovations of European companies, universities and initiatives have a significant influence on the global software industry. The open concept of the Award highlights different activities, with the same objective, to create a momentum for the world of Java, Eclipse and SOA.

The JAX Innovation Award sheds light on the most important ideas and presents them to the public in order to support a successful start on the market.

What can be submitted?

The JAX Innovation Award is basically open for all innovative projects. The only requirement is that the project must be rooted in Europe.

The Categories:

  • Software frameworks (closed source or open source)
  • Software products
  • Publications (book, Blog, etc.)
  • Scientific / research papers
  • Business plans, Community, etc.

Who can submit?

Anyone can suggest an innovation to be awarded. You can either submit your own project or a project of someone else, if you believe its creativitiy, quality and practical relevance can convince the jury.

Please fill in the submission form and give detailed and diligent information on the submission. There are no other requirements.

What else needs to be considered?

  • The closing date for all entries is march 20th 2009. Entries after that date will not be considered
  • The Award Ceremony will take at JAX 09 and SOACON 09 on march 22nd 2009.
